The interactive concert "Jazzspection" of the Stara Zagora State Opera became the event of the month of January 2021 in the category "Jazz" in the ranking of the program "Eternal Music" on BNT1.
The award was given to the director Slavcho Nikolov and the conductor Dimitar Kosev - the inspirers and realizers of this attractive musical project, which deserved the prestigious award for its longevity. Now in its fifth season, "Jazzspection" does not leave the poster of the Stara Zagora Opera and enjoys more and more admirers, both in the City of Lime and Poets and in the country.
The boutique concert "Jazospeccija" has a strong message. Its future depends on all of us. The concert features the magnificent music of Claude Bolling and impressive footage from the film "Baraka" by Ron Fricke. Director is Slavcho Nikolov, musical director Dimitar Kosev. Participants: Keiko Tanaka - flute, Dimitar Kosev - piano, Stanislav Georgiev - double bass, Atanas Georgiev - percussion, multimedia - Plamen Asenov.
"Jazzspection" is an attempt to bring together and combine the views on life of three generations of artists. A concert looking for proof that time and age do not matter when you find the right theme combined with the right music and footage.
The theme explored in the concert is global and extremely poignant. Our planet is wonderful, our religions teach us good, but the greed of humans makes the world what we see it to be and it is up to us what it will be!
An eternal theme - banal, yet relevant!
The harmony that results between Claude Bolling's music and the footage shot by Ron Fricke blend and complement each other beautifully in the overall image of the concert. The selection of footage from the Baraka film corresponds with the music of the Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio.
This is "Jazzspection." A short kaleidoscopic compilation of our times, an attempt of three generations to state their message.
On April 6, 2021, the concert-spectacle "Jazzspection" will visit Ruse! Do not miss it!
