Dear friends, We have the pleasure to invite you to the official opening of the exhibition "70 years of Stara Zagora Ballet", which will take place on 12 June, Friday, at 11.00 in the park "5 October" / the alley next to Stara Zagora Blvd. Цар Симеон Велики/. The exhibition consists of 30 canvases with selected collage photographs and is a brief overview of the development of professional ballet in Stara Zagora with an emphasis on the rise of the ballet company in recent years / 2016-2020 /. The exhibition is realized by the State Opera-Stara Zagora with the support of the Municipality of Stara Zagora and can be seen from 12 June to 1 September 2020. The opening will be attended by Ognyan Draganov, director of the State Opera-Stara Zagora, Sylvia Tomova - artistic director of the ballet of the State Opera-Stara Zagora, Snezhana Deskova - long-time prima ballerina at the Stara Zagora Opera and others. The history of the Stara Zagora Opera Ballet begins with the establishment of the oldest opera theatre outside the capital in 1925. The birth year of the ballet is considered to be 1949, when the first ballet production "The Doll Fairy" was staged on the stage of the theatre. For 70 years, the Stara Zagora Ballet has gone through its highs and lows to experience its revival in recent years.
