"Gaetano Donizetti's operatic masterpiece Lucia di Lammermoor is a title shrouded in mystique and beauty - beautiful singing, beautiful music... In this production we add beautiful set and costume design - the work of Salvatore Russe, long-time artist of the Rome Opera and Dimo Kostadinov - set designer of the Stara Zagora State Opera. An unexpected challenge and a chance for the whole staff of the State Opera Stara Zagora to perform. Love will come alive on stage in an exciting opera story. Love locked in the soul of a young girl. Love that everyone perceives as madness. In the production we will see allegorical moments, costumes - classical and fantastic, people and visions.... The world of "Lucia di Lammermoor" is a world of polarities and a world of beauty. A contrast between what man is forced to do here, down on earth - and what he expects to receive from the One, the better world ... " - words of Ognyan Draganov, director of the production.
Don't miss the second performance of "Lucia di Lammermoor" at the State Opera-Stara Zagora on December 16 at 7 pm!
