On 24 June at 9 pm on the stage of the Antique Forum "Augusta Traiana" in Stara Zagora, come and see the attractive one-act comic opera "The Servant Mistress" by Giovanni Pergolesi.
Director Slavcho Nikolov makes a winning "combination" between the artists of the two ensembles of the production. You will see Emilia Djurova, Evgeny Arabadzhiev, Plamen Asenov together with the charming ballerinas Ivelina Dimitrova, Anelia Dimitrova /in the roles of office secretaries/.
On 24 June the audience will attend a different and original presentation of the eternal life story in which the poor beautiful maid dreams of becoming a mistress, making plans to marry an old rich man.
Here is the invitation to the audience from Slavno Nikolov, director of the beautiful performance:
"... The action transports us to the 1960s - the decade in which aesthetic notions in the modern world were being broken. But why the 60s? It is an "in-between" time. This was also the time in which the composer Pergolesi worked - between the end of Rococo and the beginning of the establishment of Classicism. So were the 1960s. This is the period after the end of the Second World War and the beginning of the Modern World - the 1960s gave the direction, the rules, the new norms... by which we still live today. And in the new 21st century. The characters in the show are in an office - a fragment of this "system of boxes" of which Megalopolis is composed. It is in this office that A Little Story from the Big City is told. Enjoy watching!"
