Chapeniana

The ballet "Chopeniana" expresses the human dream of beauty. In dance is embedded the quest for harmony and rising above the petty and fleeting experiences. Choreographer Mikhail Fokine, inspired by the music of Chopin, created the piece, recognized as an undisputed classic in the dawn of the twentieth century. In it, he returns to the roots of the art of ballet to remind his contemporaries of its timeless value. The rich emotional nuances of Chopin's music unleashed his imagination and he saw in his dreams the ethereal sylphs circling around the poet, expressing the most fragile of human feelings.
