Hristian Bakalov brings to the Stara Zagora stage one of his first dance choreographies that brought him international success. It is an all-male dance based on Jacques Brel's popular chanson "Au Suivant" ("The Next"). "Au SUIVANT" is my first "live" choreography (the "first" being a short film), commissioned by the Young Ballet of France in 1999. The choreography made by me functions as the "movement subtitles" of this cult song created by one of the giants of French chanson. Allowing the dancers' bodies to express through movement the momentary charge that floods us when listening to the song, the choreography is like a physical materialization of that same emotional, energetic and artistic charge that uniquely defines Brel himself as a person and an artist," says the talented choreographer.
