Yordan Peev was born in 1968. He graduated in Bulgarian philology at the Sofia University "St. He graduated from the University of St. Kliment Ohridski. Together with Plamen Doynov, Georgi Gospodinov and Boyko Penchev they created a literary club. In 1990 he co-authored with Plamen Doynov the poetry collection "The Tears of Anger". He worked as a journalist in radio "Veselina" and then in radio "Stara Zagora".
He has been awarded prizes in various competitions - second prize in the competition "Veselin Hanchev", prize of the Fourth National Poetry Competition "Dobromir Tonev" 2014, prize of the poetry competition "Against the Wind", unanimous winner of the prize of the audience and the authoritative jury of the poetry prize of the fourth edition of the national competition "Usin Kerim" (2016). In June 2017, he shared the second prize in the Slavey Prize competition with Ivan Tenev and Alexander Petrov (the first prize is not awarded). Winner of literary awards from national competitions and the Stara Zagora Prize.
