The plot, inspired by the biblical epic, is filled with the pathos of freedom.
Stara Zagora Opera Theatre presents for the first time outside the capital the unfading work of the great Italian maestro Giuseppe Verdi on 17 May 1967 with conductor Veselin Nenov, director Stoyan Velev and artist Peter Ruskov, chorus conductor - Bogdana Popova. Since then Nabucco has hardly left the repertoire of the State Opera - Stara Zagora. It was followed by productions in 1982, 1995, 1997, 2001 and 2011. The performances enjoy unchanging interest at home and abroad. In the spring of 2011, the opera Nabucco was performed 25 times in front of demanding audiences in Belgium and the Netherlands.
